Rock On!!!

We have plans that have been discussed a lot of times but mostly on paper and they sadly remain on paper!!
This had happened with us a lot of times(myself, Rane and Tuxmaniac!!)
We always dreamt of doing a bike trip somewhere, but somehow that never materialised. Both of them in the meantime followed their respective destinations and what remained with me was the plan(lying somewhere on the paper and the paper lying somewhere which even i din't know :-)) and the bike(courtesy Raneji).
What i needed was an excuse and that is what the tuxmaniac provided. So in short, this was again a cumulative effort :-P.
Aanjhan, the tuxmaniac leaves this week to the Swiss Alps for higher studies. Although i always wonder how can someone study in such a scenic location, but i am sure the tuxmaniac would do well because the only scenic location for him is his laptop with the penguin dancing on it. Me and Rane think he gets an orgasm or something like that with his laptop besides him. But anyways this whole thing demands a seperate blog and is not the issue of concern right now!! ;-)
So we move back to our main topic!!
I planned to visit Aanjhan for the weekend, Amit Modak was supposed to join me and the task of booking tickets was given to me, which i dnt do till the last moment inspite of numerous reminders from Aanjhan. ;-)
Came wednesday and i was not able to get the tickets, and thats when the idea of biking to the other country(Chennai ;-)) struck me.. I dared to ask Modak and he said his usual sentence "Chalo na!!"
That was it, i was again assigned the tasks of getting the bike ready, checking the oil and fitting the back rest which i successfully avoided again ;-)
Come Friday and i was ready for the trip after the hugely successful finale of our office function Jashn-08.
As i told people about my bike trip, the labels of being mad and overtly risky were showered upon me.
However, me and amit finished our dinner and embarked upon our journey, but now i was a little skeptical with so many negative thoughts being pushed into my mind.
If the first phase was anything to go by, i would have for sure taken a u turn and returned back. The potholes and traffic on hosur road had made enough dents on our resolution and asses, but not enough to be back!!
After Hosur, the roads were really good(if anyone from Karnataka Government reads this..pleeeeeease take necessary action) and the journey proceeded smoothly with a minor hiccup here and there and we reached Chennai at around 7:30 in the morning.
Aanjhan was surprised to see us on the bike and we were welcomed with the customary greeting of "Morons" by him.
His mom and dad as usual took good care of us and after a rest of about 2 hours we proceeded for the scenic ECR(East Coast Road, for all those who initially thought Car Radios, go get a life), where we went to the Crocodile park where yours truly had a chance to meet with his favourite cold blooded creatures and also managed a photo shoot with them!!!

From there on we proceeded to Taj Fisherman's cove for a nice lunch and packed off to chennai. Dinner was as usual amazing with Aunty preparing all the dishes of our choice. :-)

Sunday was spent lazing as we had to return back to Bengaluru on the bike. We started at around 2:30 and reached bangalore at around 9:30 fully drenched in the rains.

Tips:
I am no experienced biker and there are many sites who give expert tips, but these are a few priceless ones and you won't find them anywhere except here :-)

1. Please change to MTV from Channel V, no i am talking about Music channels but what is in discussion here are undies. Please prefer something seamless and your butt will be really thankful to you :-)
2. Take frequent breaks if travelling during night time. Also it is preferred to avoid doing it unless you are really a moron. This will also give your vehicle and your butt some time to rest.

And one major thing from the bike trip.
Please do the things you really wanna do, nothing and i repeat absolutely nothing matches the excitement and the high you get once you have done it.
You might be called a moron initially and there would be many things like the Hosur potholes which would ask you to return back, but a little persistence will certainly pay huge dividends.
I would like to sum it up in master card style

Fuel for the trip - 1400 bucks
MTV undies - 100 bucks
Chai at roadside stall - 3 bucks
The smile on your friends face and the whole experience!! -- PRICELESS!!

SO KEEP ROCKING ON!!! :-)

The Principle of Duality

A big hello to all of you once again! :-)
This second one has taken quite some time to come, but the problem with me is that i don't write until i am alone and the last week i have been really alone with my room mates roaming to different parts of the world leaving me alone in the city of Bengaluru!!
Coming back to the the topic of the blog, i believe everyone has a weak spot and this blog was a result of being hit right on the soft spot.
I dunno why but i always enter the blind spot whenever someone asks me about my future plans. :-( As in how can i tell someone something which even i have not thought about. But being a grown up you are expected to have some plans, and not having one makes life even more more miserable and frustrating.
So cut 2 and we reach the landmark forum introduction session, where again i am hit on the soft spot.
Same bloody questiion...but not the same bloody miserable answer..this time i had something else in store surprising even myself.... :-)
This time i penned down something which sort of reflected my state of mind...something which strikes everytime this question is heard

Principle of Duality

There is chaos amidst sanity.

Everything seems fuzzy, but there is a certain clarity.

I am impatient, but ready to wait for an eternity.

I am neutral, but come with a parity!

I feel like a pauper doing charity.

I look for solidarity in an entourage.

I showcase a picture of calmness even when in rage.

I feel free, but I am locked in a cage.

I fail to understand in my life the Principle of Duality,

When there is everything certain about an uncertainity!!

I dunno how well i have fared at writing, but i need your opinion on this!!
Be honest with it!!

And hopefully, the Principle of Duality does not come into picture whenever someone asks me this question. :-)

The differentiation

Actually me too lazy a bum to start anything that requires an effort of more than 5 minutes, but this is something special and calls for a special effort!!
Being an integrator for the past one year or so hasn't helped my cause(if not ruining it further). i have been integrating a lot of things, things ranging from code, which is done forcefully(after all paapi pet ka sawaal hai), to integrating a lot of people in my life(happened unknowingly over this last year or so)
The last one year at Robert Bosch could easily go down as the most memorable period of my life!!
a lot of things became an integral part of my life, but the first two A's(Aanjhan and Abhijeet) in my phonebook entries have a special mention as they have triggered me to post this!! :-)
Be it being pestered with one line sms'es every evening "what is the plan?" to "where do we go tonite?" or having breakfast or teambuilding, the fun was unlimited with sessions in Jukebox and Mead Hall still being fresh in my mind :-)
But like bad times, good times don't last too long either, and the last month or two have marked the change in the processes, the integrator is being differentiated w.r.t friends.
Even the third A(Abhinay) of the phonebook would be leaving in a fortnight, looks like the process of differentiation is being followed alphabetically!!! :-)
One by one, friends are seperating to follow their respective paths!! I could have expressed this in a lot of other ways, but sometimes the engineer in you is too dominating over your other instincts :-) and therefore the title of the post!! i even considered deriving a mathematical model for this...but then my friends would have definitely hurt my ass!! ;-P
